Brand Identity

Brand Identity Definition: How a business wants a brand's name, style, logo and other visual elements to be perceived by consumers. To put it into an example, We can tell just by looking at the logo shown below is easily recognizable purely from it's design


We automatically associate this with McDonalds as over the years we have seen the logo across every single one of their restaurants and the logo even gaining the name of "The Golden Arches"

An Example of Brand Identity being used in Music Advertisements is shown below
This is the Magazine advert for Mika's second album "The Boy Who Knew Too Much"
Below is the Cover of the album

As you can see the Album cover is a cropped image of the Magazine advert so it is easy to link the two together, this is a prime example of Brand Identity as we can see that they are the same image and the font of the type is the same, the only difference being that the Album is only a cropped version.
